Early Stage Researchers
I was born in Chiang Mai, the largest and most culturally significant city in Northern Thailand. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry at Chiang Mai University. When I was third year student, I did an internship in polyethylene plant at PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. Apart from that, in my fourth year, I did research about pH-responsive hydrogel for controlled release drug delivery system.
I am interested in polymer science. I thereafter continued a master’s degree study in the field of sustainable polymer materials under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Crespy at Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC) in Thailand. During my master studies, I focused on designing functional polymers that can induce a controlled release of active agents from coatings under suitable conditions.
After that, In 2019, I was offered a HEA Government of Ireland International Postgraduate Scholarship to conduct research in areas of smart thermoplastic elastomers for biomedical applications under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Austin Coffey at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) in Ireland. I am now an early stage researcher at WIT under the principal supervision of Dr. Laurence Fitzhenry, working with development of nanomaterials for ocular drug delivery.
