Dr. Gautam Behl – Technology Leader, Formulation / Pre-formulation 

Dr. Gautam Behl received his Ph.D. from the University of Delhi, India and carried out his postdoctoral work at the PMBRC and the College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Science, Florida A&M University, USA. 

His research has made significant contributions in four areas: (1) Development of lipid and polymer based nano-carriers for the treatment of ocular inflammation; (2) Development of microemulsion and liposomal formulations for the treatment of Keratoconjunctivitis sicca.; (3) Development of polymeric micelle and nanogel based carriers for the treatment of cancer and the development of theranostics; (4) Treatment of skin cancer through the development of novel ultra-flexible lipid based carriers. 

Currently, Dr. Behl is Technology Leader in Formulation / Pre-formulation at the PMBRC, where he is working with the pharmaceutical industry to develop creative solutions for sectoral problems, e.g. materials characterisation, impurity identification & characterisation, compound/product stability, formulation development, method development & validation. He is also a member of the International Association of Advanced Materials, Sweden and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
